Agreed, the little things matter. The rear view mirror is important to me considering how many times I use it. I bought a super cheap one once because the OEM ones are big bucks and it took me 3 replacements ( under warranty) to get one that wasn’t all distorted. That distortion drove me crazy, it was like one of those funhouse mirrors.

That would drive me crazy too..... I bought a cheap one thinking it was the right one, the minute I got it I could tell it didn’t have the auto dimming function because it didn’t have the correct wires on the backside for it. Thankfully it was an amazon purchase. Packed it back in the box and returned it. Got my money back. This one fortunately is the right OEM replacement. But you’re right, it costed me a pretty penny.... lol

If i was you i wouldn't throw that mirror away. it can be used again, i noticed there is a glass on top of the mirror glass, if you careful enough you can break the top glass and remove it piece by piece and have a spare mirror. did the same to mine, there a liquid in between the mirror glass on top glass that reacts to the currant to dim the mirror.

I haven’t thrown it out. But probably not gonna reuse it. Lol. Knowing me if I tried what you’re describing I’d screw it up pretty bad and probably break it even worse...

Over night storm with snow showers all morning turned to a fairly warm and sunshine filled afternoon... got the mud rinsed off and the Nali is back to all shiny

Little details update:
so a couple weeks ago I had pulled my plastic door sill panels up, and dodo-head me broke the drivers door sill and the rear passenger side door sill:


So I had to run down to riverside this afternoon to go to the small chemical guys store and pickup a few things I needed. Decided to hit the junkyard on the way back up the mountain. Found a 2003 SLT Yukon XL with tan interior and the two door sills I needed fully intact. Wasn’t sure if they’d be the same color, but I grabbed them anyways, and paid 1.60 for EACH ONE!! I was like who cares if they’re not the same that was DIRT CHEAP! Lol. Turns out they’re a perfect match! No more cracked door sills! Scrubbed them down and they’re good to go!
