@Red Rocket , the light output coming from the new leds I out into my depo housings, is way better than the light coming from the lows in the aftermarket housings.
OK, aren't Depos aftermarket? Are you comparing LED's in Depos vs Halogen in some other brand of housings? Or LED's in Depos vs Halogen in Depos? And I thought you were talking about baking the Depos open? Oh man I'm so confused.. I need to go back and read this thread again!

@Red Rocket , I was just commenting on making the change from halogen to led and how much if a difference it is. And yes i baked the depos open so I could run small strips of leds in them to make my own halos, since I lost my halos in the aftermarket lenses when I went to the depos.

Ah saw some pic in the preview section of your thread

I posted a few of those as inspiration. An old member (@ezdaar where you at bro) was selling kits. He tapped into the post on the hood and either used toggle switches or a mercury switch to trigger waterproof LED strip lights.

depos are an aftermarket reproduction that are pretty similar to stock. They do have acceptable performance (cut off is good) when paired with quality plug n play led kits which is pretty rare for a halogen projector. There are better projectors out there if you retrofit, but a depo denali housing is a good low buck bolt on setup that wont blind people or ruin your night vision

@Fosscore , here's which ones I ordered, they are a direct fit. No modifications. I think because the denali housings are designed bigger and deeper than the tahoe housings the vouke leds fit in with no issues in that aspect. Still can't figure out how to readjust where the actual bulbs are aimed though on the back of the depo housings. That's annoying the heck out of me! anyone got any ideas on how to readjust aim?

LMAO @ 8000LM... silly manufacturers claims...What color temp are they? I have not bought in to LED's for headlamps yet but I hear there are definitely good ones out there.

@TheAutumnWind , yeah I doubt they are 8000LM, hahaha. But I'm happy with them so far. Just gotta figure out how to reaim the darn suckers. Lol. @05Single , pics to follow soon.

Maybe they are arguing that they are 4000lm per bulb and thus 8000lm combined, but even that is exaggerated. Still though... thats marketing for you. I am very interested in seeing night time pics of your setup! and hearing about longevity.
