Bro in law is a total gun nut(served in the marine corps…. Go figure….) and was out this afternoon shooting behind the garage with my nephew Jeremy and a buddy that was also here for the day with his wife and kids. I think the buddy was having an issue with his gun and wanted my bro in laws help figuring out which part was faulty My nephew desperately wanted me come hang out and shoot, so picked up a .22 rifle and also two pistols. Have only shot a gun once in my life, and it was like 15 years ago when I was in high school visiting my family. Needless to say THAT was not a fun experience and I haven’t shot since. Not really because of that but because I didn’t make it a priority. I’ve been thinking the last two years buying a gun simply for ease of mind on my longer travels but haven’t had time to go to a range and try out some to see what I want. But the quick little session was fun. My nephew is just as much of a gun nut as my bro in law. But he’s super responsible. Zero gun related injuries to date with any of the kids. I did not like the kick of the first pistol. But the .22 rifle was fun and the .22 pistol I shot was easy and fun to shoot as well. #MERICA! Lol
You need to stand straight up. Lol. Bring the stock up to your cheek, rather than your head down to the stock -and all the way into your shoulder. Also, .22 or not, I hope you weren’t shooting right at that tree in front of you. That’s a ricochet waiting to happen.

No I was not shooting at the tree right in didn’t of me….. c’mon man you gotta give me a little more credit than that…. I’m not THAT clueless….. :bleh: the angle that my new phew took the pic makes it look like it’s right in front of me but it’s actually off to my left.

made it back home last night from Tennessee last night. Was a wonderful trip and the memories were definitely unforgettable. Flights were easy. Had a two hour layover in Austin and then landed at LAX about 5:50 in the evening. The shuttle from the parking facility I used never showed…. Stood on that curb 45 minutes and finally got tired of waiting. So I walked the mile back to the garage with my suitcase. Nali was waiting patiently for me and he fired right up.

Getting out of the garage was a nightmare. The company that owns and runs it is kind of a shit show. The garage I paid for ahead of time was full when I showed up last week to park so the employee got my reservation gave me a printed ticket and allowed me to park in the overflow lot adjacent to the main garage. That turned out to be a huge problem when I went to exit. I already knew I was over my reservation time thanks to the shuttle not showing. But when I went to check out the system wouldn’t scan my ticket or reservation since it was for the main lot. The employee on duty spent twenty minutes arguing with me about my phone number not bringing up the reservation which was annoying since the reservation didn’t require a phone number. He went and got the toe he guy working who tried to keep arguing the same thing. I’m finally like “look, I’ve been traveling all day and I’m getting fed up. Find a slotuon to the problem now”. I showed him regardless of the other guy putting in the wrong garage I’ve already work for the week. It’s not my fault he screwed up. I’m paying for the extra hour I was here and I’m leaving. You figure out their issue on your end with the wrong garage situation. The first employee tried to say I owed him $72 for the late time. I simply “responded with it only cost me about $14 a day for the week I paid for., I’m certainly not giving you 72 bucks for an hour of time that I was late….” The second employee looked at me and realized I was dead serious. He’s like it’ll be $10, and when I handed him cash he said we don’t take cash… and I’m like “well that’s too bad cuz it’s all I have take it or leave it….” So irritating. Two hours after being ready to roll from the airport I was finally able to head home. I filed a complaint with the company’s customer support for both of the employees and for the shuttle not showing up….

Well y’all it’s been a crazy two months since my thanksgiving trip. Been working a ton. Had 9 days at the ranch literally right when I got home. A little detail work but have had tons of storms back to back. Mixes of heavy rain then snow, more rain then more snow. So been mostly working on the mountain. Nali got an oil change two weeks ago a tad bit over the interval but not by much. It’s just been to work and back. Though went down to La Quinta the week right before Christmas to do a fresh ceramic coating on my client’s 2020 navigator L black label edition. Nali looked good down there right down the street literally from empire polo club.

Truck has been running good. Last week in the storm I was clearing snow off the roof before pulling into my garage and apparently my Escalade third light and base decided they need to both come completely free…. Daaaammmmmiiiittttt :banghead: pulled the glass inside and glued that sucker down with tons of JB Weld. It hasn’t moved since but the third tail light….. that’s another deal…. Ooi….

The plastic that holds the little metal clips that the mounting screws go up into has broken before but this time I just couldn’t get it to work. Couldn’t get the outer plastic and screw mount to line up after I’d re glued it. I said “to heck with it, time to find a replacement ASAP!!” Put two mounting screws in and the light stayed put up there. found a listing for new third lights on GmPartscenter.com. Stupid me ordered it, and then after placing the order see this item is back ordered….. DUH! Of course it’s back ordered they’re not made anymore. Called them, played dumb and thankfully he gave me a refund since his system was only showing long term back ordered. Found a seller on eBay that had one after there being none for sale for a few months at least that I could find. Pulled the trigger on the eBay light, and to my luck it got delivered this afternoon via UPS. This was on my front door step after getting off from work an hour early! Good Saturday.

Poor Nali was filthy from all the snow. Could but sunny days ahead so I threw up my pressure washer and soap cannoned down the Nali. Put him in the garage and broke down the pressure washer. Once the truck was dry I opened up the box with my third light. Seller definitely know what he was doing and had this baby wrapped up nice and snug. No breakage in transit, light works as it should and is in good condition. Sucks I had to spend so much on it but the fact that it all works and it’s here was worth the money I guess.

Nice to catch up your TN trip. Some great historical info on the locations, buildings and some trucks in there too.

Been watching the snow pile up out west. Figuring your were snow boarding or trying to remove ice from your chassis lol

Good stuff.

It’s been off and on rain and snow. The resorts have been getting good snow but only a few inches at a time to keep up with at home which has been good cuz I haven’t bought a snow blower yet. Lol.

Let me new to me third light sit over night with fresh ceramic coating on it. Mounted back to its base in the garage today. Love the extra light up there.

Maybe there’s a pro out there that can fix the screw mount tabs on the first light cuz it still lights up perfectly and the rest of the housing is in good shape.
