The clockspring is only wires. Pretty sure the turn signal cancellation function is in the multi-function switch. Maybe someone with more specific knowledge will chime in.

In older vehicles there was a plastic cam behind the steering wheel; I had to have that replaced in my '72 Monte Carlo. But these newer ones are integrated.

I pulled a multi function switch as well from the yard out of the other truck. so I know how to pull it and replace. It’s not too bad. Just wasn’t sure if that was the problem or not.
