no you do not. I never do when going from autoride to non autoride shocks on trucks ive done. No issues at all
Can you explain how it doesn't need them cause my YD needs help big time lol
I put arnott air shocks and compressor on last summer. This summer I replaced the dryer because it started leaking and now my new dryer is leaking again. Long story short I'm getting rid of the factory air ride. My question bout not replacing the springs is that typical shocks don't carry the weight of the vehicle right? Shock just help control the ride quality and to help with the rebound on the springs right?
Idk I'm new to the gm airride all I know is that my rear tires are buried into the fenders after 8hrs of it sitting!!! I'm freaking tired of waiting 5 min for it to air up so I can go anywhere.... Oh and the ride quality sucks ass!!! My old 3000GT VR-4 with 2" lowering springs and KYB GR-2 racing struts rides better than my freaking Denali does and that was rough at times!!!
Rant over lol
regular shocks with airlift helper bags will do a better job of towing and load then autoride shocks.
Hell my 6 inch drop springs with helper bags and over 1000 pounds of audio system in the back of a truck is no issues
Do yourself a favor get rid of the autoride get shocks and get regular shocks and then add in airlift helper bags if you tow.
