I know end to end what to get for the car...lol the Tahoe, not so much.

What are you guys using for replacement brakes/rotors? I am in need of pads and cutting my rotors but with 100+k...just considering new ones.

Anything slotted that you guys have USED before? I used to be a tech at a caddy/hummer dealership and I have seen a few aftermarket brands I wouldn't wanna use but, I forget the names.

I have searched obviously but, I would rather have informed feedback from a fellow owner not a site trying to sell me something.

BIG THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Im no where near replacing the brakes on my Yukon, but I will give you my opinion if I needed to. I would either get the 'Severe Duty Drilled and Slotted" rotors from Carquest or Brembos from Carquest, and I have always used and always will Akebono Pads. They are the best pad in my opinion. These choices of course are for someone who has unlimited budget and just wants the best. If youre on a budget, Wagner Thermoquiet pads and factory rotors.

good luck

I went with EBC USR rotors and Hawk LTS pads on the front of my 07 and they worked well. Haven't had to do them on my 11 yet.

Freedom Motorsports is who you need to talk to! IMO by far the best bang for the buck on brakes on this forum!! I'll shoot him a PM to bring his attention to this thread.

I would highly recommend R1Concepts Premier series drilled and slotted rotors matched with Posiqeiet ceramic pads. I have run that combo on my 3/4 ton duramax since Jan 2009 and still have about 60% pad left and I am currently running them on my Raptor as well. I have sold the same package for literally hundreds of trucks over the years and even though other companies may offer decent products, I have yet to find a brand that offers products with better quality, performance and longevity. Shoot me a PM with the specs of your truck, ie: 4x4, etc. and I can put together a shipped quote for you.
