Hey guys- I've been out of the loop for a while on here. We still have our 2002 Tahoe (pushing 245K miles now) but I have been pleasantly distracted by a '70 C-10 project truck I got.

Anyway- we are looking at an 06 LT Suburban (low miles) and the carpet is absolutely filthy nasty. I spent so much time and labor cleaning the carpet in the Tahoe it would have been wiser just to replace it (I had gutted the interior to clean it anyway). I don't want to do that again.

Is there a recommended replacement carpet for these trucks that anyone has experience with? Something quality made that looks and fits like factory?

Thanks!!!

I've alway had good luck with pressure washing the carpet. Take it out. Use some good degreasers and then hang it over a fence or something for a few days to dry.

My cargo area carpet has bleach stains in it. I'm pretty sure nothing is gonna get it out. I have been looking into the lmc truck stuff for carpet. Good prices too

Thanks guys- we dropped the 06 and found an 09 I think we are grabbing. I'll have gallons of coffee to get out of the carpet on this one too so I might pull it and pressure wash it if I can't do it good enough in place. Seat belts are filthy too. I don't think they ever cleaned it. Dirty people are nasty..... If you're too lazy to clean it yourself, at least take it somewhere.

I've been looking at replacing the carpet in my 03. The previous owner kept the exterior nice, but destroyed the interior. Rock Auto is a good place that has plenty of options. Or you could wait for a good deal on ebay

For anyone who searches and finds this thread, I just installed carpet with mass backing from www.stockinteriors.com and am very satisfied with the product/results. When I get a chance I'll take a few pics and make a thread, but I mean... carpet is carpet :) It was relatively easy to install and took me about half of saturday and a few hours sunday to reassemble everything. Would definitely do again if needed..
