Good day every one

I've got a 1997 GMC Yukon SLT 4WD with the original Engine. And also I have a 2008 yukon Denali which I made an accident with it few years ago. So now I'm thinking to take the Denali engine and put it to the old guy. I want to know what do I need to that. I think the hardest thing is how to fix the ECU. And because the Denali got an electrical throttle which throttle should I put.

Im tuned into this one , Just got word of a friend that has a 6.2 in his garage he has no plans for , now if only i can scape up a couple hundred dollars without the wife noticing haha,

IMO I would keep the cabled throttle vs electrical. but I guess I'm just old school, However I have no idea how easy or hard the swap would be if even possible. I hope some of the engine swap gurus get in here and start a good discussion . Im subs

Thats why I want to do it now before I get married next year :fc5716bd:

I'd choose the cabled one too I think its much easier to fix.

Use everything from the '08 engine/trans and PCM including drive by wire throttle since you have complete donor vehicle.
I've read some times mixing and matching gas pedal assembly/module between years/models could be a nightmare but you won't have that problem.

There are LSx swap parts and info on the net.

Good luck with your project.
