The Job Is DONE!
Alright Guys.. I replaced the springs, and air shocks on my 2002 Denali. It wasn't all that difficult at all. Only problem I had was with the rear sway bar.
What I had to do to the rear way bar was unbolt the ends, so that I could get the springs out. The sway bars wanted to hold onto the axle or something, not allowing the body to fully open up to get the springs out.
I used two jack stands and a 7,000 Lb. Michelin jack to get the job done. I wasn't all to thrilled about climbing under the car and yanking on the springs, so I tied a long rope to the spring in a double knot and just yanked on it until it came out. And from there, it was all a piece of cake, and I didn't even have a spring compressor.
Another thing I didn't have is an air compressor. I didn't use power tools, so I was doing everything the old fashion way, with a 3/8th ratchet, some wrenches, some cheater bars, and a few other little tricks.
It was pretty simple, and the car rides great.
Only thing left is the front suspension. How about that?
