I was afraid this was gonna happen- way back when I originally had the Esky appliqués CM’d by a body shop, they looked too light. Now it looks to me like the trim on the glass is too dark also which combined with the appliqués is really noticeable to me. It’s weird though because the handle on the glass, which is from the same batch as the top trim, looks too light if anything, at least compared to the tailgate itself. Now I see why my buddy at his body shop has to blend everything when he paints anything on my truck. ( he didn’t have the truck when he painted the appliqués) The appliqués kind of need repainting anyway since they have some chips so I’m gonna repaint them and see how it looks and live with it. I painted the exterior door handles and they look perfect so I’m not sure what’s going on. I really like the new look though.

You can see it, but I’m really digging the new glass and trim painted. Very nice. Hope repainting the appliqués takes care of it.

if that glass you got has mild scratches this stuff might take it out, I have used it before for hard water spots it was the only product that actually worked very good stuff just takes little elbow grease. "Bruces GSR" makes your glass look better than new

I used something called Duragloss Nu-Glass but just by hand. Maybe I’ll order that Bruce’s and try it with a buffer. All the glass from these seem to have wear marks from the wiper going back and forth. Stupid wipers. Plus it has some other slight scratches.

Well shit. The intercooler tank is still leaking. It’s less now but it’s still leaking. It’s a shit design. The seam between the top half and bottom half goes right through where the holes for the mounting screws are; it should be solid plastic where those holes are but it’s not. I’m pissed that Whipple wants $125 *plus shipping* to fix a problem that’s not a customers fault, it’s not a wear item, it’s a shit design and something that shouldn’t fail. I’m sure the stupid retrofit parts don’t cost them much yet they’re charging a small fortune. I sent them an email complaining and also comparing how they’re taking care of existing customers compared to how Performabuilt took care of me. I also let them know what I’m doing right now- documenting their treatment of me in my build threads, and how I will no longer recommend their blowers here either. We will see if they still insist on charging me full price on the kit. I’m pissed. This is ******** IMO.:mad::mad:

Imo, customer relations make or break a company.

Ouch! Not sure I'd even want their new tank is they end up offering it. It sucks I've never had to deal with magnusson but I've heard non of the flower manufacturers are good to deal with after they have your money. Except Torqstorm I do know a guy that said they had good after sale service.

I've been real happy with my aluminum Trick turbo tank but I don't think its offered any more and idk where you would fit something that big. I think Atomic fab and performance has something.

The problem is, it has to mount to the bolts that the fender brace uses at the firewall. There isn't much room there to use something other than a custom design like Whipple uses. IDK, I might be able to come up with a different tank that I could somehow mount but it has to have the right size inlet/outlet. The new design isn't even a tank, it's what they call a "filler tee". I guess the kit has to replace the hoses too which are braided but in reality it's just a nylon braided shield over regular heater hose. The tee has an inlet and outlet on the bottom and a vent line at the top which must have a check valve since the system is pressurized.
