Looks like the weather might be warmer by the time I get my blower. According to Justin at BlackBear it will likely be a month before it ships since Whipple has been slammed for the last 3 months.

Today I got a few pieces for the blower build in- 50 lb/hr Delphi injectors and wiring adapters for them, and EGR block-off plates. I was able to save almost $200 by buying these injectors over the 42 lb/hr 8.1L marine injectors that come with the Whipple kit. Plus they allow for more boost later if needed.

I've been looking at boost gauges, then thinking about getting a wideband sensor to monitor AFR when I install my Whipple. Thanks to @sumo I found a solution for both- an AEM Wideband Failsafe gauge. I'll be able to monitor boost and AFR on the same gauge. Plus it will enable me to shut down the engine if something becomes critical. I made a deal on EBay today one and it's ordered. Also ordered an Autometer A-pillar pod to mount it. I'll have to colormatch it but I already have some SEM pewter paint.

I got the gauge pod yesterday and colormatched it, and today I fit it to the a-pillar. I still have to paint the push tabs and run the wires and hook it all up but at least I can see how it's going to look. I like it, it's extremely visible without taking my eyes off the road. I might go with the black face though, to match my other gauges. (It came with several faces)

It looks better now. Today I ran all the wiring and hooked up power and lighting. The vacuum line they supplied is way short so I'll have to add on but that and the wiring for the AFR sensor is out under the hood, ready to be hooked up when the time comes. I switched the gauge face to black and changed the plastic a-pillar pod clips over to black button head bolts and washers so I can remove and reinstall it. Plus it looks better. I routed the USB cable for hooking up a laptop to the center console pocket where the CD changer used to be. It will be a breeze to hook up the extension and connect the computer.

I did the Big 3 last week but didn't really take pictures of the whole process, just these shots of the wire and connections I used. I used 1/0 welding wire and tinned copper lugs. For crimping I went to Harbor Freight and bought their hydraulic crimp tool, then after using it to crimp the few connectors I needed, I returned it. Worked great!
