I have this area under my stairs in my Great Room that never has had a (short) door, and the interior was never finished either except some scraps of sheet rock nailed up. It’s always been an eyesore and I’ve tried several things, like those beads that hang down in strings to a child gate but i never figured out what to do with it as far as a door. Then I was thinking about a Murphy bed and maybe a hidden door came to mind so after some googling I found the Murphy door idea. I built it to look like the areas in both bathrooms where I built shelves into the wall. I think it came out awesome, I’m pretty happy. It could be a great place to go hide if somebody needed to have the shit scared out of them and they didn’t know it was there lol.

I need one of those in house. Lol

Looks like I’ll get to drive this thing in the snow this winter after all. Supposed to get snow and freezing rain for the next 3-4 days. It just started.

Woke up to a few inches, got the truck cleared off and went for a drive. I shot a video but something happened to it. Kinjo loves it. His sled dog came out in him on our morning walk, he kept jumping up and trying to pull me like I was a sled. He was hard to hold onto. It’s supposed to snow another 4-8” tonight. Been doing it all day but it’s light and powdery, not building up too fast.

Can't believe how green your grass is.

Oregon... pretty moist in that area. Not like out here, or the Midwest where the grass goes dormant from the cold. Mine is straight dust-color lol.

Fuuuck. After freezing rain followed by 4-6” of snow it started freezing rain again. I have been trying to keep the snow off the canopy over the Silverado and earlier I poked a big hole in it. Then just now I was shaking the top to get the ice to break- ***** 3/8” thick so far- and it started splitting at the ridge. And according to the forecast tonight is supposed to be the worst with 8-12” of snow or up to an inch of freezing rain. It was time to say bye bye to the canvas so I cut it off. I’m hoping I can brace the back deck in the morning- I pulled all the snow off it with a rake on a long pole today but idk about the ice. Hoping it’s not collapsed in the morning. ****.
