I just got an email from your guys saying the FPR is only used for flex fuel, 8th VIN "Z". The box the fuel rails came in says it's for a pickup with 8th letter VIN "Z". Also there's too many quick connects for fuel lines and no diagram.
Reuse your OEM FPR. The box says it is for all 03s, and 04s that are flex fuel (8th VIN Z).

Ok, I think I understand but I want to be sure. Here's a quote from one of the emails:" The box says it is for all 03s and for 04s with eighth Vin z. Bad wording on their part, but the correct system. Should also say 05 with eighth Vin z. 04 non flex fuels have no return fuel line, while the FFS still do."

I take it ALL 03's means all 03's with OR without flex fuel.

Another email from another person and another quote : "The box says that the fpr is pre-installed on a Vin Z only, they run at a lower fuel pressure in some cases.".

(I'm getting 3 email threads right now from BlackBear as well as your help here, Jenna. Justin is emailing me and 2 others who I'm not sure who they are but they're from tech. the amount of help you guys are throwing at me is crazy, and it's Saturday.)

So from all this I take it that I will reuse my fpr and it's up to me on how to figure out the routing of the hoses. There's the 3/8" quick connect in the middle of the passenger side fuel rail, the 5/16 quick connect on the driverside fuel rail by where the fpr goes and the fpr itself. Does the fpr go on the return line, because that's the only way that makes sense. I still don't get it but maybe I'll just go tear my truck apart and hope you guys are right, that the correct parts are here and it will work.

edit: I just had another look and I think I've got it. The fuel feed is the 3/8 quick connect on the passenger fuel rail. There's a hose and a coupler to go from there to the truck fuel line. Then the fpr goes on the return line at the driver side rail where the 5/16 quick connect is and the fpr has a small vacuum line fitting. There's a small vacuum hose on the lower intake manifold that will reach the fpr. Then the return line is a 5/16 quick connect fitting opposite the fpr and the truck's return line is flexible and looks like it will reach.

Yes, ALL 03s, with and without FF.

Yes, reuse OEM FPR and put on return line.

Sounds like you're all over it now, Red. Nice to see that kind of support. Don't forget to take pics for us to see what you're doing!

Oh crap, pics. Kidding. Of course I'll try to do my best. Trying to figure out the EVAP solenoid now, it's the last of my concerns. I want to get all my questions answered before they all get tired of me. I figure there's only so much Saturday support I'll get lol. I'm about to tear this thing apart.

Oh damn I forgot pictures, got too busy...HA! I have a ton, I'll update when I quit for the day. I tore it all down and am in the process of installing a few items including oil pressure sender, valley cover gasket, knock sensors etc. There was a LOT of stuff to remove.

Yeah there is. Sounds like you're making good progress. Just think of all that brand new stuff you're putting in!

Well I quit for the day, except maybe some inside work swapping parts off the manifold. I got everything removed and began putting stuff back together. I worked from 10-5 straight through with only a coffee break and my back is killing me! Here we go. The start picture, followed by some parts I won't be needing like the Spectre CAI and my catch can. I'm pretty sure the catch can can't be used with FI but I'll check to be sure. Then I started removing electrical connectors and labeling them.
