I'm sure there is cheaper out there.
But years ago I bought yokes, straps and driveshaft from dennys driveshaft.
Took everything I threw at it. Never a driveline break after.

I over tightened them I think. I'm buying all new ones tomorrow, hopefully heavier duty. If they don't have good ones at O'Reilly's I'll get some good ones online. I think I'll get heavier duty U joints too but don't know what's good- Dana? There's some ridiculously priced ones out there.

I don't think the strength of the u joint was an issue as much as the install. Proper torque spec and u should be fine. I have Moog u joints but had to buy the straps at O'Reillys. For some reason I thought your AWD setup was different and didn't think to mention the straps. I have a 1350 hybrid joint setup but plan to go full 1350 with a Dennys shaft. Dennys uses dana/Spicer u joints so I would think they are stronger. You can see the size difference in the stock vs 1350 size. It may not be necessay with your AWD setup.

Also, you are going to need a blowtorch to get the u joints out if they have never been replaced. They have impregnated plastic holding the joints in from factory and it has to be melted out. If u have clips in the joint u can pull the clips and press the joint out.

I was able to replace the one u-joint with a Spicer Life by using a blowtorch. O'reilly's only had one so I'll have to get the other 3 elsewhere. Also swapped oil filters and filled with oil. No leaks. Bent the shifter linkage and it still is a bit stiff but manageable for now. I was working on the final repair, new straps, but O'reilley's gave me the wrong ones twice even though the second time I brought the old one in. So I took an old one to Autozone and they had the right ones, way stronger than the originals, but I had to go to 2 stores to get 4 straps. I wasn't going to leave the original back ones on. But on my last trip, about a mile from home, right in front of the O'reilly's I always shop at, some ******* idiot pulled right in front of me on my bagger and I had about 2 seconds until impact. I hit him at about 35 mph. Dude didn't even see me. I won't go into any details because I don't want to bum you guys out. But it's bad. I'm broken up, my bagger is RIP. But I'm alive.
