Ok, im goig with Rocket. u mentioned not need a catch can with the blower..here the solution..check balls to stop blow back. u won't see oil in the tb, but in the supercharger itself.

Yeah that's click bait lol. I'd say just get the check balls and rock the $99 one from catchcan.com..they come in red lol.

I had a red one from them and sold it because I heard it would be a problem with the blower. I think I'm fine; mine never even caught more than about half an ounce between oil changes. But that TLP one in red would look nice under my hood...

New member, I binge read this entire thread last night. I admire your perseverance and determination. I will be 54 next month and two years ago I started building our 3500 sq ft house, all by myself, so seeing you tackle these projects makes me feel great.
I haven't picked up my future Yukon Denali XL yet, but I already have some ideas, thanks to this amazing thread. It won't be my first 6.0, I have one sitting in the driveway wit 313k miles on it, it is my favorite GM engine.
Keep up the good work and take time to heal, it becomes more important as our "experience" level grows.

I feel very honored that you read my entire build thread; that must have taken quite awhile. And congrats on the huge undertaking of building a house. I remodeled every single room in my 3-bedroom house on evenings and weekends over a few years and that was enough for me. It might have been easier to build from new lol. And 313k miles? That's a statement about these engines. Glad to have you onboard the forum, this is a great place.

Thanks, the house was a huge undertaking for this old body, so much in fact I had an LAD heart attack on Aug. 4 2016 and was back working on the house in two weeks.
The 313k mile 6.0 is in a 2003 2500HD 4x4, RCLB. Today it is our farm truck but it lived the first 270k miles as an ATT supervisors truck, so it has had excellent service its whole life. The only major work has been a new Melling high flow oil pump and motor mounts. It is still strong as an ox and pulls my tractor with the 18' pipe top trailer with ease. If taken care of these engines will just run and run.
I think it was this thread where I saw someone with a can of Kreen. Awesome stuff, I have used it in two vehicles and it it is the best, and gentlest junk remover for engines. I first heard about on a BMW forum after I purchased a 2001 740i and rebuilt it to stock perfection. The stuff works, when they did the oil pump on the truck, the dealer was amazed at how clean the engine was, at 300k miles.

I just recently heard about Kreen as well and have some, ready to use when my next OCI gets a little closer. Good to hear another positive review on it.

The stuff works, my old BMW was a mess from the guy I bought it from, short trips really sludge an engine up. After two treatments it was clean under the valve covers. I now do it to every vehicle I get.
I really love what you have done to the Yukon. I will never go to those lengths but this thread has been better than an adventure novel. I want one for the ride quality, my trucks beat my old bones up and I plan on getting a small piece of property in the NM mountains and the thought of that 9 hour drive in any of our trucks makes me cringe.
So what is next for your amazing ride?
