The snow is going South as far as Texas. Just cold in my neck of the woods. To bad we can’t ship it to Iowa. :p

Snow is one thing. Snow in a relatively flat part of the country is gravy. This shit with layers of freezing rain and layers of snow in an area with mountains like we have here sucks. Half this city is the west hills which are mountains to most of the country. I-5 , our main N-S interstate, goes right through them on the other side of the city. Add that to the fact we don’t use salt and don’t have many plows. And half the population has moved here from places that never get snow so our roads get plugged up with idiots. I swear even the truck drivers coming through have no clue, one jackknifed on our other main N-S interstate, 205, and closed it down for awhile tonight. Plus we have a little phenomenon known as the Columbia River Gorge, which funnels winds into the east side of the city at 50-75 mph coming from the east side of state due to a low pressure off the coast. Which right now is causing blizzard conditions on our only east-west interstate, 84. It’s whiteout conditions up there now and the east wind has been blowing at my place at 30-40 mph today. We get some shit, just not often that the storms come from the west off the ocean and run into the frigid east wind but it is now.

It ain’t no joke out there tonight. View attachment 270690
Yup, that def sux. To be fair tho, Jersey isn't flat either. We have mountains here too. Some highways are cut through them aldo.

Just now catching up on TYF so I'm a couple days behind. I was getting disappointed that everyone was letting him slide by with this. Good save, son. You make me proud. Although, I was gonna say "Don't you wake up to a few inches every morning... just a few?"

We gave plenty of that stuff at the moment so thought we would share with others!

More is on the way!

We got the cold but not the snow; we're on the west side of the polar air. Send some of that snow our way!

I’m pretty sure last nights storm is bringing snow to you too!

Woke up to a half inch of ice over 6-8” of snow and another layer of snow on that. I went for my morning walk with my pup and in most places I didn’t even bust through the ice so it was like walking in an inch of snow. But when I started to break through it sucked. Got some nice eyebrows on the trucks and I can’t even see my front porch. 3507B90F-C2AD-469B-8FD2-B2720A01A0CA.jpeg622D9211-B6E6-4174-BDF0-32D6843307C2.jpeg9295FD09-5C7D-4DF9-926E-173815A8B827.jpegD9C77317-3681-426A-81CE-BD19E8941388.jpeg
