Up next: Color-matching the engine accessory drive brackets and accessories
They need to be pulled and crinkle-painted black like I did on The Beast. And black out the ugly alternator. That aluminum only looks right in a crinkle IMO due to the casting.

Thanks for the encouragement back when I was told that bumper wouldn’t work. But now if you want the low that I have, you'll have to cut your frame off behind the motor mounts and build a new one...

Lets do it... When are you coming down to help?

The damn TPMS light is back on. It’s been a mystery lately, sometimes it goes away for a while and then I do some work on the truck and it comes back. So I bought some ACDelco sensors and straps to attach them inside the new wheels. They say for up to 26” wheels.

Mine hasn't been on since I made my pipe bombs.
I considered that but figured if I’m buying the sensors I want them to not be lazy and do their damn jobs lol. Plus my tires are so low profile that they look flat all the time so if one loses air it will be good to know; I don’t want to ruin a $1500 wheel.

Oh, I was NOT suggesting that you do what I did. By all means, do it the correct way (as you are with the bands). My post was really just an easy way to take a cheap shot at myself for such asshattery. Stock wheels and tires on a Tahoe that sits 5+ days a week aren't worth it to me to have broken down.

I made contact so when I got home I looked under the rear to see what hit because it didn’t sound right- it was the rear DS rocker- which was weird since it’s designed to hit the landing pads which are heavy steel. The normal sound is more like the frame hitting. I noticed that rocker was hanging just a bit low and a bit of investigation showed a broken spot weld which let the panel hang a bit low and it was also moving around a bit. No way to get it welded with the bed on so I drilled and through-bolted it. It’s solid again. Just another normal day skating on the freeway lol. Oh..,there was a city cop behind me when it happened and he just backed way off. Prolly wondered wtf this dude is shooting sparks.

I also got some more missing bumper pieces in the mail today. These are under the hood and I’m assuming keep it from bouncing when you close the hood. I had noticed the grill had a bit of scuffs last week and it looked like the hood must have been hitting it when I drop it to close it. There’s 4 total rubber bumpers across the front. 2 more are on the way.
