It is beautiful. Glad you got to see The Gorge. Sorry about Multnomah Falls. My dad flew a loop around The Bridge Of The Gods in a Piper Cub his buddy owned when he was young, on a $100 bet he wouldn’t do it. He said he thought for a minute he was gonna hit the bridge as he came to the bottom of the loop. I’m just a little less crazy than he was.

That would've been a sight to see!

The clouds were ominous that day. My regret is not taking the time to get some pics with the real camera....

oh, and my awesome view of the falls...:D

It’s really badass up close. You used to be able to climb to the top but some dumbass teen lit some fireworks and tossed them in a ravine a couple years ago during an East wind event which happens in the Gorge and the wind was blowing at 50-75 mph for days. The forest fire destroyed a lot of the area around there including the falls area which has some of the most awesome falls in the world including Multnomah. They barely saved the lodge there. But the trees burned and now the entire area is unstable because it’s so steep and with no trees to hold the soil and rocks in place it’s dangerous. Most of the trails are still closed for miles around there.

I got the projectors in and mounted the new ballasts and relays. I did most of the wiring but still need to add the drivers and wiring for the second set of demon eyes. I have the lights mounted and the truck is aimed at my garage door and leveled out so I can adjust the horizontal lines by rotating the Acme’s. I’m hoping the horizontal height is ok on the new projectors because there isn’t a separate adjustment for the upper and lowers, just an adjustment for both at the same time. I guess I’ll see tonight. These are gonna look badass.

Of course the bulb colors don’t match. Back when I ordered this stuff I couldn’t find what color my Morimoto’s have in them. Tonight I found what I think are the boxes from the Silverado but might be from the Denali. They’re Morimoto 5500k. The Acme’s I ordered were 4300k. I was gonna order the Morimoto 5500’s but it looks like they’re either 5000 or 6000k now. I’ll look at the bulbs tomorrow when I pull the headlights again. Might just get Acme at 6000 k, they’re less than half price of the Morimoto.

I aligned the horizontal on the Acmes. I’m pretty surprised how good they line up with the Morimoto’s. At first the passenger side Acme was higher than the Morimoto but I just grabbed it and forced it up real hard a couple times and it came out pretty damn even. The driver side was good from the get-go. I’m happy. Tomorrow I’ll epoxy the nuts so the projectors can’t rotate out of horizontal and then try fit them again tomorrow night before I bake them back together. Almost done! And as far as brights, when both sets of shutters open it’s like a damn ufo.

The pictures are kind of confusing. I’m pretty sure the first one was with both sets on before I adjusted the passenger one, then there’s a pic of each set on separately. The color difference is the indicator. Then the last 2 in the post with the demon eyes are with both sets on and adjusted. Sorry, I’m tired...:(. And yes my driveway is a POS. It’s old like me. About the same age I think.
