So I had a trailblazer ss, now have 2013 tahoe Ls. I hate the roof rack, looks so much cleaner without it in my opinion. Took the tahoe to local customizer (orlando) who said if I take the rack off the bolts will stick up and be visible. The only other thing to do is to weld the screw holes and repaint. The vehicle is a 2013 so I'm not to thrilled with the idea of removing and welding the holes. Being a new vehicle I can't risk the roof leaking either. Any ideas?

Wanting to do the same thing on my 2011. From the research I've done the only way is to do like he said and weld/paint the holes.

Read through these 2 threads, basically remove rack and put the screws back in (I put silicone around the screws then tightened down). Then buy the molding, mark where the screws are and hollow out the molding so it will sit flush over the screws then place over the top of the screws, blends in with the ribs that are already on the roof.

You can get the moldings here:

Wanted: One roof rack

If you do end up taking your roof rack off, want to send it to me? Let me know if you decide to take it off. Thanks. Currdog
