Plugs are shown fwd to aft as removed. Reading you mean in ohms? I did a couple and got 6.4 on 2 and 6.1 on another. Tomorrow when I get home I can read the rest if that is what you meant.

Reading as just as I am doing now. Overall not to bad 1 and 4 look a little extra carbon-ed and number 3 looks a bit lean but not real bad at all. Try checking out your ignition coil using the test below. Also check your grounds on the thermostat housing and right fender well near battery as well as pump ground on the left frame well for cleanliness.

Ingition Coil Not Operating Properly

Tools Required

  • J39200 Digital Multimeter

  1. Remove the ignition Coil. Refer to Ignition Coil and Ignition Coil Module Replacement See: Service and Repair.

Notice: Do not insert the J 39200 digital multimeter probe into the ignition coil connectors. The female terminals could be deformed, resulting in intermittent operation. Only make contact with the front edge of the terminals.

  1. Connect an ohmmeter as shown.

    • Use the high scale.
    • If the reading is not infinite, replace the coil. Refer to Ignition Coil and Ignition Coil Module Replacement See: Service and Repair.

  1. Connect an ohmmeter as shown.

    • Use the low scale.
    • The reading should be 0.1 ohms. If not, replace the coil. Refer to Ignition Coil and Ignition Coil Module Replacement See: Service and Repair.

  1. Connect an ohmmeter as shown.

  • Use the high scale.
  • If the reading is not 5-25k ohms, replace the coil. Refer to Ignition Coil and Ignition Coil Module Replacement
