TB and MAF are where intake breather comes from passenger side. you will take MAF off to get to the throttle body. You can purchase MAF cleaner, it's a spray at any NAPA or parts shop. Then use like B12 Chemtool to clean TB, inside and out.

Cleaned the MAF and then ran some sea foam in the gas and poured a little in oil. It seemed to idle a little better this morning, little choppy still but better. This could possibly be because it ran for a few late last night so it hadn't but shut off as long as the other day when it was acting up.

Be sure to hose out the TB like mentioned, that was the best fix for my idling problems by far! Seafoam sells Deep Creep that works great too!

Just take your intake tube off of the TB and spray the crap out of the inside of the TB

Nooo! dont do that. remove it its only like 3 bots or nuts. the AICV (air ide control valve) is part of the TB. remove it and clean it good with brake parts cleaner. do it while the truck is cold.

Why not, just offering the "easy fix" to see if that helps out!! Also, I'm not sure if I would spray brake cleaner in there, may not hurt but I would feel better spraying TB spray, the stuff that is meant for this application!

1+. I use brake parts cleaner for ALOT of parts. It's very versatile. It dries quick, and cleans off residue like no other. Not saying TB/CARB cleaner isn't great, but brake parts cleaner also works magic. just my 2c

Just cleaned mine. Much better and was having the same issue.

I had minimal tools around but did pop it right off (3 nuts 10mm)

Do it this way because you'll never get it as clean. When I get to more tools I plan to remove and clean all components of the TB.

Great improvement for what I had tho.

Thanks everyone.
