Prob manifold intake gaskets, especially if you never changed them. I had the same problem last year. My check engine light would come on as well.

Is this a difficult process? I wonder if there's a video on YouTube that explains how to do it.

Not difficult if you're reasonably car handy. Took me about 2 hours & that included a few minutes to clean the manifold up a little.

hardest part of the job is getting the manifold off without dropping debris into the intake ports. vacuum real well around everything before moving the manifold. having said that, nothing that drops in will really hurt anything. i just vacuumed out the ports as good as i could before reinstalling.

Recommend doing the knock sensors while in there and use AC Delco sensors. Lots of good you tube videos about the whole process.

Got a call back from the dealer. YOU GUYS WERE RIGHT! It was the intake manifold gasket. Since I live in an apartment and it's below freezing right now, I asked them to replace the gasket.

Also, they said that the wiring harness for my defroster grid (the harness is located in the front somewhere??) had a bad wire. They said that the harness has been discontinued by GM/Chevy. They're going to hit up a boneyard to see if they can get a new harness for me.

The last thing was the brakes. I have been getting severe pulsing in the brake pedal during braking. Apparently, this is due to the rotors being warped. That's odd to me because I replaced the rotors a couple years ago. However, it could be that because I've been traveling to the mountains so often that coming down heats them up quite a bit. They said it's not a safety issue, just more of an annoyance. I asked them not to do anything with the brakes as I'll get new rotors/pads during the next service.

Guys, thanks so much for your help and advice. You were spot on, and just as bottomlin2000 said, there's so much info on this forum. Thanks!

Yes, is a little more labor and the cost of parts. You have to remove the intake again to do them if they cause a problem later and they typically do.

I've called the dealership. The resource I've been talking to hasn't picked up twice. I'm nervous that I'm missing the window to have the knock sensors installed.
