I am looking at a 2005 Yukon 4x4; I am particularly interested in the rear axle (ratio?/locking?). The "G" codes on the glovebox sticker are: GU6, G65 and G80.

I believe that G80 is locking diff. and I think that "GU6" is 3.42 ratio? Does anyone know a) if the preceding is accurate and b) what "G65" might signify?

Thanks in advance,
Kurt

Thanks guys!

One question.... I sold my 03 Z71 that had 3.73's (I ran 285/70/17's).
Presuming that I run the same size tires on this Yukon, what would those that have driven both say the real-world, seat-of-the-pants difference is in acceleration between 3.73's & 3.42's? (This Yukon is out-of-state and owned by a relative - otherwise i'd already have my answer)

thanks again,
kurt
