Running 1/0 gauge power wire

Regarding "chime", this is typically added with wiring harness setups that come seperate from HU. I know my PAC wiring came with the "chime". I had the option to install it and make it as loud as I wanted.

Yea, those are the harnesses I keep seeing. I don't want the chime. My truck already doesn't have it. I just want a regular harness not one that comes with the little speaker and cost $50

You have an SSV you should already have a good size 12volt feed to the rear. Just look inside your jack compartment. Just my 2cents

I checked and don't see anything back there unfortunately. Just the tools, jack, and a small bundle of wires.
There's a factory hole in fire wall under the steering wheel that has like a rubber boot on it that other wires go through. I ran my wire through that and under the carpet to the back. I don't like wire under the vehicle, all it takes is some road debris to hit the wire and split the jacket and could potentially start a fire

I wouldn't be against running it under the carpet but I don't have carpet lol

I went from the battery down the frame and came up on the driverside rear...

Is the hole the red wire is coming through under the back plastic panel where the jack is located? Can you explain your ground pictured here for me? Did you run a 0/1 gauge wire all the way from the battery, or just from your device to the frame? Is there any advantage to running a ground wire all the way from the battery? To me, it seems like a waste of very expensive wire. Last 2 questions, can you tell me the name and/or brand of fasteners you have the ground attached to the frame and to the sheet metal, also I'm curious why you didn't run the ground wire through the sheet metal like the red wire? Thank you.

When I had my rear side panel off, it looked like the best place would be a small triangular section of floor behind the wheel well and jack. You should be able to reach down in there and see/feel it through the jack cover hole.(maybe with jack removed) Nearly the same area in that photo where the red wire is. I was planning to go closer to the wheel well though.. depends where you want your wire poking up. (I want it behind side panel)

No. Front/Main battery to frame, then frame to amp is enough. I just regrounded the body of the vehicle as well.

Thank you so much for your reply, you have been the most helpful person on any forum I am a member of. From my question above, I was wondering if you did the "grounding bolt thing" to "beef up" or reground the body to the frame, and you answered yes, so now I'm on the same page. Pictures are indeed worth a thousand words, but they don't always read the mind of the taker, haha! Thanks again, you've been so cool!

What year is your rig? Is that motor a factory setup, or did you craft that for your rear hatch/window? Pardon my ignorance, but I'm new to Chevy Tahoes altogether! I am, however, on a crash course of learning, and you guys have been awesome thus far! Thank you all!

2012, it's the factory powered liftgate. I would have preferred manual, but the power is nice sometimes.

I'll see if I can figure out how to add some pictures, thank you for the welcome, it is nice to "meet" you, I am from Southwest Virginia. Here is a picture of my rig, an 03 LS 5.3L. I absolutely love it! I'm doing a bunch of work on it now as we speak. In the middle of a sound system. I have suspension all the way around to complete too, just have to find the time to work on it! I actually just picked this thing up last August if memory serves me correctly. 20220828_151806.jpg
