Scientists are prone to depravity like anyone else. I've seen many thousands ignore the obvious to push a political and ideological agenda as I'm sure most on here have too.

O thought consumer reports was still the only last piece of realty to consumer that has not been bought by the big company. And offer an honest option to buying stuff. They buy all there products and cars I read once .

It is. They are soulless when it comes to car reviews etc but they are stone cold pragmatists.

I have a suburban LT and the leather is nice on the seating surfaces but it does wrinkle. I would bet the Denali leather is thicker and the escalade leather is even more thicker and more supple.

Leather seating surfaces should be a sticky here. My wish list is an illustrated guide to what strips and swaths on each seat and row are actual leather and which are pleather, vinyl. If I recall after market leather options say they are actual leather on the 2nd and 3rd rows.

I was told by the dealer when I bought my Denali that the leather was a better grade. Could have been a sales line. What I will say is this... Every Tahoe and Yukon I test drove that was preowned in the 2008-11 years varied on the leather condition and it was clear which vehicles were not taken care of regarding conditioning of leather. They were either nice and soft with little signs of wear other than average break-in, or they were dry, cracked and looking like crap. Mine was in beautiful shape at 84K, so first thing I did was buy a leather conditioner and 4 years later, treating once a year, they still look and feel like the day I bought the vehicle. Do yourself a favor and condition the leather. I use Leather Milk Auto Leather Conditioner and Cleaner with UV Protection - Auto Refreshener No. 4.

More features mean more to break, more to repair, more maintenance. I love the infotainment system in my truck but am not looking forward to the day the hard drive or a button quits. I can fix it myself but it will take a while.

Are there any dealer docs from GM that suggest one has a better grade of leather than the other?
