Sea foam

everyone around me are a huge fan of sea foam. Live in a fishing town and everyone has a boat. Anyways. I was wondering if I should sea foam the engine before or after installing a new catch can and before this oil change that I do at the same time. Do you see any issues with doing it after the catch can. I can't think of any. And how long do people usually run there cars with sea foam in it. Plan on putting some in the gas tank and crank case plus directly into the intake. Haven't figured out what point into the intake yet. But I will look into it.
