There is quite a price difference between the TCW 3 oils. Semisynthetic, and synthetic.

I read somewhere it had to be the full synthetic which is 38 bucks a gallon, and the semi is 15.99.

But then I also read where it only need be TCW 3 compliant.

So which is it?

I'm thinking the full synthetic is going to give you a lasting coating on components verses a non, or semi synthetic. The TCW 3 is just it burns with no ash. Lubrication is another component to the treatment. If your vehicle sits you want that upper cylinder lubrication film to last to so any good for start up wear.

It needs to be TCW3 compliant...it is for water cooled marine 2 stroke engines. The TCW3 as it has the add packs/viscosity you're looking for.

It will not matter if it's full or semi...it's the TCW3 qualities we want. Valvoline/Pennzoil/SuperTech are common ones to find. I know the Penn is a full syn & the SuperTech is semi...only diff is price. I can't find the SuperTech locally (which is around $15)...so I use the Penn.

Kidding love the Canadians! You are imperial gallons correct?

Last Time to Canada was 20 years ago. Did a Knobbys fly in fishing trip out of Dryden Lodge was on Pelican lake where we flew out of. Fun times. Cigs 5.50 a pack gas was 3 something then, and I thought it was imperial gallons which I think is larger. Imp= 4.55 litres. gallon=3.75 litres, Or 1 us gal.=.83 imperial gallons. So a 26 us gallon tank holds 21.65 imperial gallons.

No we are not imperial measurement we are all metric. 4 liters of fuel is about 200 cc more than the US gallon,1 qt.=946cc.or 1 qt.=1054cc.hows that for confusing.

Yeah thats about what I get. Wally world had the semi synthetic pennzoil for 17.69 a gallon. I'm kicking it off with the lucas fuel treatment then going for the pennzoil. last fill up I was getting 10.375 MPG. in town driving.

My work truck 2500HD gets 9.5 loaded to the gills with tolls. Pretty depressing.

Wow! That is horrible mileage. I just did a test with my suburban, using mobile 87 oct and pennzoil 2 stroke and was at about 13-14mpg. The kicker is I was towing a 17 ft horse trailer with 2 horses and a few other small animals. That was all city driving in Los Angeles.

When I drove to Vegas I did almost 450 miles to a tank. I drove 70 all the way there and back. I was hoping to do one tank there and back but the driving in Vegas for a week killed that.
