Seafoam saga

... what is the overall consensus on seafoam. I've read good and bad points (alchol eating away gaskets). Just had intake gasket replaced probably not going to run through my oil but considering using in fuel system, I did use a fuel inj cleaner last year on a long trip which I was able to hammer down an Innerstate at 90 so I could probably do without the Seafoam for now but just want to see what everyones thoughts are on this product.???

I like the product. I haven't used it in the Yukon yet but I've had only good results on other vehicles. I put some in the tank and run some directly into the engine. I don't put it in the oil though but you weren't going to anyway. I don't think it's necessary as long as you change your oil regularly. If you run the seafoam directly in through the intake though it may foul the plugs so if you do it that way be ready to change them.

I used sea foam in two tanks of gas and have had no problems just went from palm springs to long beach averaged 19 mi per gal at 70 to 80 mph

i have had good results, however there are multiple threads on this topic to search for.
