id personally take the skar over the sundown sa's plus its hard to find new sa's unless you look around on caco or woofersetc. sundown said they were sold out any only woofersetc has then new right now...

hdc312 are warming up with 1000rms. you wouldnt get full potential out of them with out adding another 2200d (1 on each sub) and that fu*ks your budget.

im sure you'll be pleased with the new setup. just make sure the box is built well and tuned correctly

ya i really dont know what to do..as much as i want to just go small and save the money, id rather spend the extra money and get something i know im going to be happy with..

what do you think one AQ HD 15 on the AQ 2200d would be compared to the 2 12s on a 1200d? I understand its more wattage, but i can do either for roughly the same price..which is going to have more output and better sound?

i guess im looking at the aspect of being use to the BTL 18..
b/c vs the 12's nor the 15 are gonna get as deep or as loud.
personally i like the single 15 though AQ's dont like being tuned under 38hz.. though it should still reach down to 31hz...
i actually have a damn near new hdc315(copper) sitting here infront of me now. my cousin bought it to put in a civic but the box is far to big for it.. we put it in the back seat for 2 days with a 1200d and it hurt. but he wants his back seat so he asked me to sell it or try to get someone to build a box inside the trunk.
i've been reading about ppl running 1200rms on SA's on meade's forum... maybe 2 SA's with a 2200d... :) LOL
the 2 12's vs single 15 the box will be about the same size cubic feet wise but the 2 12's you can build shallow vs the 15... if its space that you want back in you hoe... do the 2 12's...

im debating on my subs at the moment.. my amp should be here on the 16th..(SD5000) and i was gonna go with 15s.. lvl5's or xl's.. but i really want 18s with out a huge box and ppl are telling me the new btl 18s can work well in 10cubes... my 15 box was gonna be 8 cubes and im like 2 extra cubes to have 18s and all the extra cone area (Two 15" = 353.43, Two 18" = 508.94)
might be going with the new N218 BTL's fully loaded. i get my taxes on the 12th so i need to make my mind up b/c im just about ready to order my stuff.
10 cubes i can still have 40% cargo area which is what i need until i can do a wall next year

I have two brand new in the box DD 510 subs for sale $250 plus shipping. You would come up under 300 on two new subs that take up very little space bout 1 net cube each.

i think i am just going to go with the 2 sa12s on a saz-1200d for $770. That amp is pushing out almost 1600 watts at times, its a beast for a 1200 watt amp. I know i will have better range then my 18, which i will be happy with, and it will be more crisp.

I will lose the super low, everything shaking, rattling the truck to death, but im ok with that for a while..my 18 has destroyed my truck..clips broken everywhere, dome lights falling out, seals not sealing lol..time to fix some shit and just have a nice sounding system

too bad you cant keep the 2500.1, and do three 12's... :)

more power, and more cone area.

ya i want to, but im getting $800 for a sub thats 5+ years old, and a refurb amp that is almost 4 years old..and ive beat on this shit forever lol...

i guess i just need to realize im not going for spl anymore..my set up right now is about the best i could have for the money..ill never touch the spl without spending 1200+..which im fine with..this is going to sound better over all, and i honestly dont crank it up unless to show it off, which im getting over

there is a guy who ran 2 saz-1500d on 4 sa12s and hit a 153...so worse case, ill pick up another amp and subs down the road lol..
