I know many of you guys have the corvette servo but have any of you guys installed the billet servo?

Im deciding which one I want to do and want to get opinions. Ive searched a couple of different forums and theres not a whole lot on the billet ones.

I know the vette servos increase clamping force quite a bit and the billet clamps even more. So would more be better? or should I just do the vette servo?

What do you guys think? theres about $50-60 difference between the two.

i used the corvette servo on mine. Honestly if your going to do it I would do the entire kit i pmd you on. Much better way and also flush out the trans which is easy with a bucket and fresh fluid.

I would also like some info on this. Also what exactly will it do for me. I have run across area threads about this mod but I haven't done any research on it at all.

By the way....my Tahoe is basically stock on the performance side except for exhaust.

From what ive been reading up on if you trans is stock and dont plan on doing mods that increase power quite a bit then the corvette servo will do you good.

The billet 4th gear will pair well with the corvette servo and that is what I am going to do, Corvette 2nd and 3rd gear servo with billet 4th gear.

If you have a built trans then go with all billet.

Thats what ive gotten from with all the reading ive been doing.

Servos clamp down on the band more to prevent slipping during shifts. Some people say it makes it shift firmer but some say thats false.

Everybody should do at least the corvette servo to help prolong the life of your trans.

Also if you dont have a stock trans cooler then you should add one because heat will kill a trans... a 4L60 even more because they are some weak ass trans.

ive done numerous 4l60es and 4l70es with the kit from brandon at fast-motorsports.net

and if you have 3.73 gears get this converter if your not towing 3600

if your towing they can do a 3000 converter


My trailblazer ss went from 13.3 stock to a 12.7 only mod was changing to a yank ptb3600 and my wife drove it daily in the hills of san francisco with no issues. Later on we added a bigggg cam and she loved it drove on hill s great.

All of that is out of my price range right now. so gonna go with the 3200 circle d, tru-cool 40K, corvette and billet 4th servo
