So my truck started shaking when accelerating. It's not a wheel balance issue because I put different rims n tires and still shakes. I replaced u-joints acouple months ago.
It makes my steering wheel shake up n down and dash up n down and whole truck vibrates lol. Once I'm up to speed and cruising no more shakes. Any thought what it could be? I'm taking it to the shop tomorrow.

Still chasing down a similar issue but not as bad as you describe. Steering wheel wobbles side to side for a bit after hard acceleration. It also wobbles at random speeds for random times. I had tires re-balanced(were still good from the prior time) and had the front end looked at-nothing seemed out of place. I'm curious as to your outcome. I did do the ISS today and it helped a ton but there is still a vibration from time to time....

Well it was rear Ujoints. I thought I replaced those but it was the fronts that I did. Vibration is gone now.

Was there any play/wobble at the rear ujoint or play/slop in the driveshaft? Just wondering how you ended up diagnosing rear ujoints.

I honestly thought that when you said you replaced the u-joints that you meant all of them and then I would have recommended rechecking your work in case you had a u-joint out of phase. Or that maybe damaged a yoke or shaft. Then you said you only did the fronts. If that info would have been shared to begin with then I would have said replace all not some. The fact that you experienced the shake when accel in the places you said you felt it, all point to drivetrain/driveline problems. Live and learn, huh! But please in the future, if you say you replaced something but you did not go all the way, then say so to help us help you.
