We have a 2025 Tahoe Premier and we are still getting use to everything. We have a 15 month old baby and while we enjoy using CarPlay, it never fails that call will ring over the vehicles speakers while the baby is sleeping and wake the baby up. I'm curious if there is any other options that A.) not using carplay, or B.) having to put your phone on "Do Not Disturb/Driving Focus"? Is there a setting where you can use all of the other CarPlay features, but have you phone still ring on Vibrate and not out loud?

interesting question….spit balling go here…just forward your phone to voicemail. Or, turn the volume down while the phone is ringing…thinking there is a separate volume for ring tone vs normal…should then stick for all incoming calls until you turn it back up while ringing.

I am not opposed to taking phone calls while driving. Even while the child is sleeping. Sometimes I may not even need to answer the call, but it's helpful to know that the call is incoming. The issue is the volume I guess. Hoping I can setup carplay to use all the features without being surprised by loud ringers or voice directions in maps. I can just do my best to turn down all volumes while the child naps, but it would be really helpful if you could easily just mute them without placing your phone is full on "do not disturb" mode.
probably unrelated directly to your issue, but many years ago I made my own ringtone and added about a 4-5 seconds silent intro, my phone is set to both vibrate & ring, so with the silent intro I get either the vibration or notification of a call BEFORE the sound starts.
that was my solution to abrupt ringing. I still use the same ringtone I don't ever change it.

That's awesome! That's up there with those people that have a prerecorded voicemail greeting that says "Hello...(5 second pause) and then you start talking, and then the rest of their prerecorded greeting resumes. lol.
well that wasn't the intention, phone still rings i just have a chance to get it to before it starts blasting sound, i get around 3 vibes then it starts the music.
with no option on the phone to "delay" I just created my own delay
Just use the silent switch on iPhone. You won't hear a peep.
