ive probably got about 7-8k mi on mine now, and the one thing i would like to try is putting metallic pads on- this is why: these will slide you right out of the seat, once they build up heat. somebody correct me if im wrong but ceramics dont build up heat as fast as metalics, wich is good for high speed driving but most morons are encounterd in city driving. now with that said with stock brakes on the 22's, if i held them to the floor doing about 85mph, they would totaly fade out slowing down around 40mph. that was it- they were done. that is deffinently not the case anymore! with the drilled /slotted 07 rotors, calipers and ceramic pads, they keep clamping down all the way to a dead stop.

If you are looking for low cost better stopping. I would go with the EBC dimpled and slotted rotters and green stuff pads.
I did this on my '06 Yukon xl to help with towing our camper.
Noticable improvement for low investment.
I would love the big break kit some day but supercharger is first on the list

hey man i have a 02 denali and i bought the drilled slotted rotor kit with pads for my truck off ebay and i have had them for a while grreat break responce and never break fad as well as less break dust on the wheelsyou can say im not the slowest driver as well i do a lot of 4x4 ing and do decent trailer pulling and never had a problem

Hey guys, hate to dig up an older thread, but I have a question about the brake lines to the new caliper. Do the lines from the NBS truck fit the NNBS caliper or do you need to modify the line somehow? I only ask because my lines are on the way out and I'm thinking of upgrading to braided stainless and I would like to do this mod in the very near future. TIA

Learned about the 07 + upgrade through this thread so I thought I would post up some pictures. I needed to do my rear brakes on the burb so I decided to do them all upgrade to slotted/drilled rotors and ceramic pads. a Big Noticeable increase in braking power after doing the swap. Rotors and pads ran $180 and the Calipers from the front with brackets and new hardware ran $40ea.
