So today I went in to get my tires balanced & rotated.. Dropped it off and went across the street to get some breakfast. While im eating they call me and tell me to come back cuz they need to show me something.

Anyways, long story short.. I need new inner tie rods and I also have to replace the idler & Pittman arms? Anyways.... They quoted me almost $1k.
So I took it somewhere else.. they said same thing and quoted me almost $1100.

Took it to my mechanic that ive used for 10+ years who said he could do it all for about 600-700.... Better than the $1k but still sucks to have to replace that crap.:emotions122:

Are these things you can do on you're own and have the tools for? If so that'd save ya quite a bit.

I could probably figure it out if I had the time and tools ... but working 70+ hours a week and having basically NO tools what so ever kinda limits that lol

After you get the front end work done, you will probably feel like you are driving a new truck, and have peace of mind knowing it is reliable. I'm trying to find the positive side :)

That is true. I hit a rough patch with my 99 Denali (before the Burb) where I dumped about $3k into it within about 2 months. It sucked at the time but it drove like a new ride for a long time after that with no issues :)
