On my mom's Escalade, as with all 2010+ (maybe 2009) models, there are no overhead buttons for the power-fold seats. Why did they do away with this?? Are we missing a new location?

I like some of the minor updates like the power tilting/telescoping steering wheel, and more inlaid looking instrument cluster and clock, but really? A lot of the times I'll look up there and think we don't have that feature. When we have people loading stuff and there's someone with the vehicle, it's nice to have those buttons to help someone with full hands getting in.

It was a much needed feature on our family trip. :emotions122:

Would they work if we ordered an overhead console from a 2007-2008 model?

My '09 has the buttons. Are you saying that they have been deleted of '10?

They did the same thing with the denali's. My guess is no, it wouldn't work. There would be no lead from the seat to the console. The only button is on the D pillars.

Yeah, as of 2010's. And that's dumb...maybe I can get the overhead console out of my dad's Denali to try it out, just out of curiosity.

IDK why they did that but it sure didn't help when we needed it a thousand times on our trip.

Good and bad in everything. I keep forgetting how you're only a 16yo lol. I am more pissed how Ford and Infiniti figured out how to get IRS in the back to accomodate powerfolding third row seats.. My friend came over with his '10 QX56 and the Denali has it in the looks department but the QX56 has nicer front captains chairs and the powerfold seats?? man that pissed me off. but the Denali is so sweet to look at and the powertrain is if not the best in full size, it's the close second..

I wonder why the GMT900's can't have the powerfold 3rd row, my mom loved that feature in her Navigator! Is it a design/architecture thing that allows that?

They could at least implement a motor that will allow the 3rd row to tilt and tumble exactly like the 2nd row.

Have you seen how the 3rd row seats are removable? What would the purpose be to tumbling them? Making a giant blockage in the middle of the rear? :laughing1:

They tumble and fold flat...its much easier than removing a 55lb seat. The navigator and QX will also hold actual adults in the third row, whereas these trucks are good for small kids at best.

Thats about the only good thing about this generation Navigator though...its the worst truck in its class by a country mile.

Well unfortunately, the spare tire is on the underbody under the third row.

Plus 100lbs of seats being out of the car = slightly better gas mileage
