i see a lot of people running 20+ inch rimsRunning bald tires or what?
I run 22- 26’s and replace tires at about 20-25% tread left. I figure the old ones can go on someone’s beater, probably can find my old tires at the used tire places. There was a time when I was poor and drove pieces of shit and bought someone else’s used tires.i see a lot of people running 20+ inch rims
they cant even afford the tires no tread left on them
I do the same. And I never seem to time it where theres enough tread for one more summer. I usually end up with that much in the fall.I run 22- 26’s and replace tires at about 20-25% tread left. Neither time they were bald. First time was in the 90's on my S10 with newish tires, Uniroyal Laredo tires. Happened on rte 80. Think that one was a slow leak. The other was on my old work van. I had hit a curb, and a small bubble appeared on the sidewall. Totally my fault as I tried running it as long as I could.Running bald tires or what?

So I think the lesson is that if you don’t take care of your tires you might have a blowout?Neither time they were bald. First time was in the 90's on my S10 with newish tires, Uniroyal Laredo tires.
