Hey guys,
It's been a while since Ive change the spark plugs on my 02 Tahoe. I know sometimes new and improeved gear comes for older trucks, so what brand of plugs do you guys recommend I put on my truck. BTW she has about 180K and shes' a flex fuel truck with a custom program from black bear.

Thanks guys and sorry if the question seems a bit elementary!!!

I put NGK plugs in mine with MSD wires when I did my 100,000mile service. Most of my friends have shifted to the NGK plugs. My good friend who owns his own shop loves them and runs them. Allied auto (much better shop that Napa or O'reily) recommended them also. AcDelco are always a great option as well just my 2 cents.

Ngk copper plugs have been a long time favorite in these v8s. They wont have quite as long of a service life as an oem setup.

I don't like the fancy spark plugs. GM designed these engines using their plugs. Use something similar to OEM.

Not really sure what you're saying, and I have a strong idea you don't either. The OEM plug is a high dollar plug, some would call that fancy. The others that were suggested were NGK copper tip old school plugs. When people get away from the high dollar platinum/iridium tips and went to a copper (cheap) plug they found out these engines run well on them. Since most enthusiast service their engines pretty frequently the lower service life of a copper plug wasnt an issue. I honestly would have no problem running either, and I have sets of both here in the shop.
