With all due respect, you're seeing purely what you want to see Steven. It's called selective vision.
Come to my suburb in North Texas and Escalades sitting out front are worth 15% of the cost of the house they are in front of at best.
Hell, I go to school in Lubbock and very sparingly do I see "thugs" and "ghetto people" driving around the NNBS Escalade. It's more like privileged college kids and girls. Same thing goes for most areas in Dallas.
Saying Escalades is for "rappers" and "thugs" is just as ignorant as saying Range Rovers are for Kardashians.
For every "rapper" or "thug" with an Escalade, there is at least 20 successfu men/women, privileged individuals, or suburban families with one.

On the other hand, if you said that Dodge Chargers were for ghetto people or thugs, I would not agree completely, but would acknowledge the fact that Dodge Chargers, Chrysler 300s, and Chevy Impalas with cheap large wheels are extremely common in low income, or illegal occupation individuals. But, they are also common as government issued vehicles too.

I drive a Tahoe so I am not trying to stick up for the Escalade. I am just stating the unbiased truth. I can also say that I see a lot more supposed thugs in Tahoes than I do Escalades.

Well said Modded. Steven is just trolling as usual. It's amazing that he comes around here just to do a little bashing then disappears again. I think he also thinks that EVERY Escalade owner buys them NEW as opposed to used (like me). My 08 Tahoe (bought with 20k miles) and 07 escalade (bought with 45k miles) both cost me $35k before TTL which were both bought used and both came loaded... my point is unless you're buying NEW, it's most likely pretty affordable to ANYONE, not just the famous, super rich, or "thugs/drug dealers".

This is very true. People really say that rappers like Escalades. That's complete bs. Most big rappers are in exotics like Ferraris, Bentley's, Rolls Royce's, and Lambos because most rappers know that Escalades are readily affordable to mid-high middle class people/families.
Steven is suffering from a confirmation bias in this topic. He drives around looking for individuals "who look like" they cannot afford their Esclalade instead of individuals that look like the Escalade is just another car to them.

What really gets me into this topic is that I bet sometimes people see me driving my Tahoe and think "oh I bet that car is nowhere close to paid off" or " he's just some drug dealer" just because they see a custom car.
If only they new that; I have no criminal record, no driving record, a Tahoe that was paid off less than 2 years after getting it, customizations paid for in full cash, no credit line, and have never done a drug (outside alcohol) in my life, talk less of sold some.
More than likely, that is better off than the ignorant ******* that is judging me based off a car.
