Hello all. I know the title is vague but i have a question about this. I am very well rounded when it comes to disc brakes and how to maintain them. I have a 96 tahoe 5.7 and this is my first time dealing with rear brake drums. I had the the master cylinder and both brake cylinders replaced in the rear. I was told by my mechanic that the pedal would be spongy for a while due to the fact these rear drums are self adjusting. How true is this? Im kind of nervous to drive this thing. The pedal does pump up all the way prior to turning the car on. IT doesnt take a lot to stop the truck but it doesnt stop like i would like. Let me know what you all think.
Thanks
