I have a 2002 Tahoe.
While driving i have a constant squeaking noise. Its on the drivers side and seems to be behind the dash/steering column. I also once had a 2001 Silverado and it made the same noise. Any ideas???????? It drives me crazy!!!!!!!!!

I have a squeaky dash too. If you figure it out please let us know. I don't think mine is hub related. If it were, would I not hear it when I drive with the windows down? It sounds like one of the clips is loose and rubbing a piece of plastic or something. It's probably the cap to the ambient light sensor that came off months ago. I replaced it, but never found the cap.

Found problem

I took the Tahoe into my mechanic and he found the problem within 15 mins. The E brake cable has clips holding it into place. He started yanking on the cable and discovered one of the clips was loose and rubbing against the frame. He just put some grease on the clip and the squeaking is now gone!
He didn't even charge me.

Hey I know this is an old post but could you tell me where that clip that your mechanic found is? I have this same issue. Starting to get really annoying

yo bump this same problem...i think... mines an electrical component making a rhythmic squeaking about 80% of the time the car is running. or even switched on.
