For the past week my breaks have been squealing once I place a small amount of pressure on my breaks, it is a very loud squealing. I have checked my break pads and they still have a lot of life left on them. Can anyone give me some advice on what may be causing this?

Did u check the both pads..? Outside and inside of rotors..? The outside could have life and the inside could be gone due to warped rotors... While ur at it check the rear brakes they could b talking as well....

It is the front disc breaks. I checked both the outside and inside break pads and they both have alot of life left.

While the pads were out should have re-lubed them?

Just asking...what do rear shows have to do with a squeak in front? Rears out of adjustment would cause the pads in front to be applied and cause a squeak?

unknown at this time.
relube the pads. maybe you mean anti noise paste on the pads plates which would be good to do if not done initially. i mean to include the rears if one might mistaken the noise location unless their head is next to the front wheels and it can be heard from there. there can be dust build up or loose hardware etching the drums. and actually the adjustment factor was not in my conclusion to be analyzed.

I'm having the same issue with mine. i just replaced the front pads about 6 months ago and i don't do any heavy driving with her. (Japanese traffic). Also, when i hit the brakes, the whole truck vibrates real bad. Any sugestions? Warped rotors??

No, i didnt break the pads in, i dod t know that needed to be done. I boutgh the hoe used fromsome japanese guy that had it sitting on 20's. maybe that could be the root of my problem... I looked at the rotors briefly when i put the pads on and they seemed to be fine and not needing to turned. Right now she's sitting on 16's with 265's. nothing fancy.... I think i may just buy new rotors and drums and see if that will take care of the issue. The brakes vibrate real bad and shake too. It does the job, but i hate the way it feels..... And im sure its not safe
