Sitting still in the McD drive through not moving. Had my foot on the brake and moved around in my seat, which causes me to push harder on the brake pedal. The rear brake(s) make this squeaky noise when pushing down the pedal.

Well, its disc...so nothing could have moved unless something broke or you have a caliper trying to lock up. I cant think of anything in the rear that would actuate when already at a stop with brakes applied, only pushing harder. You sure you didnt roll forward?

I forgot what the title of the thread was called, but there is one with a guy describing what you are dealing with. Mine does the same thing. Apparently, it is the caliper piston causing the creaking. You can either replace the whole caliper or take it apart, remove the rubber boot on the piston, and lube it up well. I have been dealing with mine for a year or two, just waiting to have to replace the pads and I'll try lubing it up. Try searching the forums and you'll find the thread hopefully.

Hey thanks. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something bad.

No problem, as I said mine has been doing it for a couple years with no other issues other than embarrassing and annoying me. Hopefully it'll be the same for you. Luckily it is just the rear brakes too, I'd be more worried if it was the front.

Kopr Kote on those caliper pistons. Depending on the climate, road conditions (i.e. salt), you may need to break out the lube every 6 months or so. Here in Canada where i live i can't even makes it through winter with the brakes remaining quiet. It's a cheap fix at least, that is if it's actually the issue anyway.
