Stock hi-beam question

Both the factory equipped HID suvs and non hid suvs use the 9005 bulb.

Does anyone know the factory wattage of the bulbs? I know they are around 2800k in color.

I would like something brighter...however:
I've had too many issues with the Aftermarket HID set ups.
I'm not sold on the available LED systems that are running the fans to produce "adequate highbeam light" in the current plastic housings. If they were aluminum housings etc I would be down. But until more time goes on, I'll pass.

So it's a standard halogen 9005 replacement for me, but I want to up the watts a little while staying in the 2800-3800 color range.

Anybody got any Intel?

I put a set of LED 40w bulbs in and tested them for a night, before switching out to a morimoto X55 HID kit. The LED would be fine without windshield tint...I needed a little more output for mountain driving. Also the LED's bulb lock tabs didn't fit as tight as the HID bulb.
