im pretty sure the person who bought it will come back to claim it. he did paid a shit load of money. he could take you to court and end up just paying for what ever it is you paid for to get it towed/bonded. if he has a bill of sale and title signed by you its enough proof you sold him the truck.

now cops called you because u didnt clear your name at the dmv. if you had the cops would kept it and if no claim, off to the auction the tahoe would go. and hope they dont/didnt find drugs because you my friend will be in trouble.

be very careful what you do with it. just b/c its not registered to the new owner and they will only release it to you doesn't mean much. legally, you dont own the car anymore. if you re sell it he could come after you civilly and he's gonna win.

you can file paperwork to get ownership of the car legally turned back over to you. its the same thing that tow companies do when they impound a car and the owner never comes back for it. they file paperwork through the court. the court send notices to the owner (in your case the guy who bought the car). if they dont respond by a certain amount of time the vehicle can be legally awarded to you.

this would be like a... uhm...scam. chistoso if found guilty would go to jail. guys he did signed the title and bill of sale. theres a lot of money involved here and i really doubt hes going to just let it go.

yes you could quietly file for the title but please dont... u dont know what this person is going thru he gave you his money you took it and spend it. why be so ****** up?

i say keep calling jason(buyer) and find out whats going on. maybe he had it parked and some1 took it for a joyride. u never know.
