This is a stupid question im sure but how do i read sigs? I uave the tapatalk app should i be using s ok something else? I follow red rocket because his denali is the closest i could find to mine but every time i wwnt to look for his posts i have to find his last post to his build thread the search for redrocket does not bring it up. There has to be an easier way to look for people threads. Maybe skip the app and go right for the internet?

That might be because I changed my name to Rocket Man lol. I’m not sure about sigs on Tapacrap but on a browser on a phone you have to turn it on it’s side to portrait mode to see sigs. As far as replacing lifters, if you pull the heads then you might as well do them but you can swap a cam without doing that. Here’s an article on how to do it without pulling the heads. I used 5/16” steel rods but had to grind/ sand one of them to fit in the oil galley holes to hold the lifters up.

As far as cams, I highly recommend the “Trucker” from Vinci High Performance for its low- end grunt and hp and they have the best customer service. They will get back to emails in hours and answer any questions you have. You will need to do valve springs, hardened pushrods, seals and I recommend a rocker trunion upgrade using Smith Brothers kit. There’s a member here selling the upgraded rockers in the classified section but honestly it’s not hard to do that yourself. I just finished a cam swap in my 08 Silverado and here’s a link to that in my build thread. It details the trunnions and springs better than my Denali build thread.

You’ll need a tune when you’re done too or you won’t get full benefit plus your engine will run rough and might throw codes.
Any other questions just ask.
VHP cam page. They will sell you the kit with pushrods, dual springs, seals. You will also want a good spring compressor tool, I used a single one but there’s dual compressors too. Look at my build thread for tips. I found that when releasing the tension on the springs I needed to use a long prybar to force the springs up as I released the compressor or the keepers would catch and pop off.
