I was thinking about biting the bullet and replacing my suspension on my recently purchased 2011 Yukon SLT. So I log on to Auto Zone just to get a general idea of what options are out there, possible cost, etc. I am not wanting to lift it at this point. Just replace OEM parts with slight upgrade. Then I start seeing ZW7 and some other 3 digit electronic ride hyperbole. How do I figure out what I have before I start shopping?

Post up a picture of your RPO code sticker that’s on the door of your glove box and folks here can give you some guidance with what you have. Typically the Z## codes will be your suspension codes.

Yes sir. Absolutely!
Question. How did you know this? Curious to find out so I dont have to bother everyone about little things.
I learned this by asking questions and learning from folks here. Never be afraid of asking questions. We all had to learn somewhere and this forum is a great place to ask and learn.

That RPO sticker basically tells the story of what your vehicle has. Learn how to decode that with the link below, and you will be one step ahead of the game.

RPO codes is a list of your build as it traveled down the assembly line. "Regular Production Option". By the way, the OE parts on your vehicle are as good as it gets. "Just slight upgrade" means trying to beat what has gotten you this far already. I did an entire rebuild of my suspension and steering systems. Nothing better than the OE, IMO. Good luck.
