Question for those that may know, why is the 2015-2017 model year suspension control module a different part number than the 2018-2020 MY?
2015 - 2017 P/N 23201680
2018 - 2020 P/N 84215186

Is it the firmware? I hear the 2018-2020s w/magnaride ride better. Is it because of the firmware?

To my knowledge, all '15 - '20 model years with an active suspensions are Magneride suspensions. Perhaps, there is some incremental functionality that was added to the suspension system, making for a different part number. I doubt that it is just firmware alone.

Thanks for the feedback Joe, but that doesn't answer anything. I'm looking for people that would know, not a guess. If you think there was an incremental functionality that was added to the suspension system, then show what that was. Typically when that happens then a software change accompanies it. Looking at the two control modules from the exterior they are the same.
And on another note, you don't own a 2015-2020 SVU with Magnaride, so why comment on this subject with a junk response.

I debated asking the question here. Already ordered the part. Any info I find out I'll keep to myself.
Moderators you can close the thread. Wasted my time asking.

I think the answer you might have gotten from this is that this kind of info is not readily available to the general public, so I'd say it's an answer of sorts.

If receiving a response which is an informed opinion from someone who has forgotten more knowledge about these active suspensions that you will never acquire, is an unacceptable response to you, then I apologize for responding to your post. Keep in mind, that I also wasted my time responding you.

Why don't you find your way back to X or Facebook, where you'll fit right in with those folks.
