suspension noise?

I noticed a squeeking noise the other day and I took it in to the shop that's associated with the dealership I got my 04 Yukon at and they ended up doing a alignment amongst other stuff that was on the due pill and just got it back today and noticed the noise came back around the LF suspension area. I'm assuming it might end up being a bad shock or something that might be causing that squeaking noise? Any help would be appreciated...thanks!

Have a large friend stand in the driver's side doorway and rock your vehicle as violently as he (or she?) can while you carefully stick your head all around the area and look/listen/feel. If they can't reproduce the noise then have an additional friend stand in the rear doorway and bounce it even harder.

There are so many suspension joints in an IFS front end, it's just so difficult to answer the question without hearing it.

If the shop did an alignment, I would check all of your bushings, ball joints, and tie rod joints.

Late 2003-Late 2005 GMT800 platforms had a new vendor that made the secondary steering link (goes from the firewall to the steering rack). Well, after a few years those links will develop a noticeable clunk when going over a bump or even turning in some cases.

GM sent out a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) to all dealerships to ask customers to bring in their vehicles to get it fixed. As far as I know, some dealerships still honor this TSB. The part is only $40-$70 depending on where you get it. It's so simple, you could do it in your driveway. **Assuming that you have some good mechanic experience**
