Hi,

I want to put an engine oil heater on the oil pan. To get to the part I need, the lowest point, I have to take off the front differential carrier panel (rock guard) and a brace that goes across from the suspension behind the two front wheels.

The rock guard looks easy, but I'm wondering about the other brace that goes right under the oil pan. Can I just unbolt the two bolts on either side to drop it? Can I do it with weight on the tires or do I need to lift the frame and let the wheels hang freely?

Thanks!

Shameless one time bump to see if anyone knows the answer:
