Hello all...

I've been lurking for a while, but obviously this is my first post.

I have a 2001 Tahoe 2WD, 5.3, GU6 open rearend.

I'm wanting to lower my Tahoe 1" in the front and about ~2" in the rear. I'm planning to used GM blue keys in the front, Z56 police springs in the rear and Z56 shocks all the way around.

My question is regarding different options swaybars available on the market. I've basically narrowed my search down to these 3 kits:

  • Eibach P/N 3882.320 (35mm Front, 32mm Rear)
  • Factory Police Z56 Swaybars P/N 21996496 & 15762972(33mm Front, 30mm Rear)
  • DJM P/N 00-514 (38mm Front, 30mm Rear).

The prices are $330, $215, and $435 respectively.

Considering price, is the Eibach or DJM set that much better than the Z56 swaybars? Also, I assume the greater the thickness the stiffer the suspension will be? I'm wanting my tahoe to handle as good if not better than the PPV Z56 Tahoe.

Thanks...

Well if your wanting the Z56 setup. Go with that suspension, But your right on the thicker the bar the stiffer it with be.
So it will be a preference at that point...
